In the Godfather, Marlon Brando's character, Vito Corleone, is an alpha male, who has managed to build his own societal system and whereupon everybody relies. He is the all powerful chief of the tribe.  

 

Marlon Brando is a key figure in acting history. By introducing Method Acting on screen, which focused on the veracity of emotions, he changed the revolutionised the acting world. In Coppola's masterpiece, he gives an incredibly emotional performance, and shows that he can even turn a mafia godfather into a relatable human being.
