NAPOLEONIC WARS
oil painting

The Napoleonic Wars are a good example of the political impact of private institutions in matters of war.
During the battles engaged by Napoleon against Great-Britain, one important factor that caused the British victory was the investment made by the Rothschild institutions, which enabled Great-Britain to regain power and defeat Napoleon.
Whether for a good cause or a bad cause, the power of the private sector to weigh in the balance, when it comes to the destiny of populations, gives pause.

The shield is symbolic of the Rothschild insitutions - the German world "schild" stands for shield, while the red drop stands for the deaths engendered by the Napoleonic Wars and is a pun with the word "rot", meaning red.
